Milford United Soccer Club offers two levels of play; recreational play and competition play. The two main seasons of play are Fall (September - November) and Spring (April - June).
Recreational Play is designed to promote development of skills, teamwork, understanding of the game, and FUN. This program will be run in town when 4 or more teams can be built in any age bracket. When fewer than 4 teams can be developed, the teams will be entered into District Play. The club will attempt to form teams balanced by age and skill to offer equality on the playing field. The Recreational player should get at least 50% playing time in a game.
U12 Boys Recreation League: In order to allow all of our players to participate in a fun and competitive environment the club is planning on creating an in-house recreational program for the U12 boys. This will be in addition to our travel teams (based on registration numbers). The in-house program will have professional trainers that will focus on player development. This will allow them to develop sound soccer techniques that can be applied as they advance in the 11v11 league at U14 and in the high school program.
Competition teams will be created in age brackets from D (11 years to 12 years) and older. These teams will be comprised of players that want to play at a higher level of district league play and will play teams from the South Central District. The players on these teams are usually asked to commit to play on a team for one seasonal year (both Fall & Spring seasons). Playing time is not guaranteed but each player should get a reasonable amount of playing time.
